Alexa without ‘Hey, Alexa’ for every request – CWEB.com

amazonalexa

Amazon has released a new feature, which gives its Echo speakers the ability to listen to to commands for the assistant.

When you switch on Alexa’s follow up mode, your Echo speaker will continue listening for a second command for a few seconds after you issue the first one you will have no need to wake it up again by saying “Hey, Alexa.”

With Follow-Up Mode turned on, your Echo device will continue to listen for five seconds after responding to your original query.

For instance, you can say, “Alexa, turn on the TV,” and then after Alexa says “OK,” you can immediately add, “Lock the door.”
