Authorities said they were notified that the suspect, Bethany Wilson, 24, of Goodlettsville, was at the Days Inn at Exit 11.

Bethany Wilson, 24, allegedly went on an auto theft spree that culminated in her crashing one of the stolen vehicles on an interstate on Thursday, according to local ABC affiliate WZTV.

Officers responded to Minit Mart in the 2600 block of Trenton Road shortly before 4:45 p.m. after a 51-year-old woman reported being approached by another woman who pointed a gun at her and stole her Nissan Juke while she was pumping gas.

The department then reported receiving a shots fired call shortly after 5:15 p.m. from the area of Warfield Boulevard and Ted Crozier Sr. Boulevard.

When police arrived, a victim told them that a woman fired a shot while using her 5-year-old child as a shield; the victim fled, and the woman stole his black Mercedes Benz.

The Nissan Juke that was stolen from the Minit Mart was found in the parking lot of the Jubilee House on Warfield, according to officials.

Furthermore, Clarksville Police received word from Cheatham County that the Mercedes Benz had been recovered and that the woman had stolen a silver Ford F-150, which was involved in a crash on Interstate 24 near mile marker 16.

Police later discovered the Mercedes in Cheatham County. The trail led to a Ford pickup truck that the woman also stole before crashing on an interstate.

According to police, the child was with her at the time and was found safe. Wilson is facing aggravated robbery charges as a result of the alleged crimes.

Please contact Detective Lockerman at 931-648-0656, ext. 5299 if you have any video footage from these incidents. Call the Clarksville Montgomery County Crime Stoppers Tipsline at 931-645-8477 if you want to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward.
