Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos has become the world’s richest person, surpassing Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. Bezos isn’t slowing down either. Amazon recently acquired Whole Foods and is planning to dominate the grocery space as well.
Amazon, Apple, and Alphabet (Google) are in a race to become the first trillion-dollar company. And, for a least a while today, on paper, Jeff Bezos surpassed Bill Gates as the world’s richest person.
Bill Gates would still be the planet’s richest person if he hadn’t been so generous with his fortune.
