HomeCHAI - The Taste of INDIA

CHAI – The Taste of INDIA

India runs and lives on tea and it is second in terms of production and consumptions in overreaching productions. India is the place where in college, meetings, offices, etc., have tea break and not coffee break. Chai generally pops up from the western part of India. Tea is something you drink at home. Unlike coffee there are few tea bars that are devoted to the culture of tea.   A lot of companies come forth in investing their money upon those cafes and tea hubs which produce the good quality, taste and richness in them. People get that craziness whenever they hear this word. And yeah, there are also different types namely., lemon tea, ginger tea, green tea, masala tea, etc., and people who belong to the hotel management field experiment them and also those who are so much interested in cooking and serving people food also gets included in this. Many plantations from india and various brands are being produced. While interviewing the workers in a district called Wayanad, Kerala, they said “We start working from 7:30am to 2:00pm in the tea estate and we also have been working in this field for more years. It’s easy for us to work here but when there is rain, flood, or heavy winds it becomes difficult for us to work here. We are being paid based on the amount of tea leaves we collect for example if we collect 100kgs we are being paid for about Rs.500 and that 100kga are acquired within one day. Our children study either in government schools or aided schools. We work hard just inorder to make our children get a very good life than that of ours and we don’t want them to become tea plantation daily wage workers and we want to see them reaching heights.” India just enjoys the taste of the tea but they just couldn’t know about those who work behind them. No one can even imagine the amount of work each worker puts in order to give the consumer the tea powder.

The processes providesd above are those which are followed and thats how everyone experiences it. So please don’t harm those who are working so hard for you people, to give you everything you want and experience everything you desire. We don’t even know their ages and what if their age is as old as our grandparents or as small as the younger generation like a 9 year old kid???? Respect each and everyone around you, respect humans and humanity.

Let this world become a home with equality for everyone..!!
