The iconic footwear and bag designer Christian Louboutin recently launched his “Greekaba” capsule collection. The stunning designs were created in collaboration with Konstantin Kakanias, a popular Greek artist and illustrator.
Christian Louboutin loves to travel and drops capsules of “seasonal cabas” that are inspired as a result of these journeys. Each exclusive piece in Greekaba depicts his adventures in Athens and discovering the Cyclades islands as he travels across the Mediterranean sea with Miss Tependris and her faithful poodle, Pepe; both of whom are fictional characters.
The Grecian palette depicts two distinct themes: the land and the sea. The collection of one-of-a-kind shoes and bags are colorful and have intricate designs. They are infused with the brilliant blue and white of the sea and of the country Greece. Ancient Greek pottery also serves as inspiration for the designer ware in rich shades of umbers and black.
The shoe collection includes sneakers, loafers, flats, sandals, boots, high heels and more with touches of both Greek art as well as classic Louboutin flourishes.
The handbags have exclusive prints. The artisanal bags appears as mini bags, bucket style bags and more.
