Celebrity Lawyer Camille Vasquez to Defend Celebrity Johnny Depp in Upcoming Crew-Member Assault Trial

According to reports, Johnny Depp and his lawyer Camille Vasquez will work together again facing the court regarding charges that he assaulted a staff member. Camille Vasquez will represent Johnny Depp once more, this time over allegations that he assaulted a crew member on the site in 2017.

Vasquez will represent the actor in a personal injury lawsuit filed by City of Lies co-star Gregg ‘Rocky’ Brooks, along with attorney Randall Smith. Depp is accused of assaulting City of Lies crew member Gregg ‘Rocky’ Brooks on set in 2017, and the site manager has named him in a personal injury complaint.

Depp is being sued for allegedly hitting Brooks twice in the ribs before offering the location manager $100,000 to ‘punch [him] in the face’ in April 2017 while filming the crime drama.

Brooks criticized Depp in court documents, stating that his acts were ‘intentional and malevolent and done for the purpose of causing plaintiff to suffer shame.’ He claimed in legal papers that Depp twice thumped him in the ribs after he allegedly yelled, “I’ll give you $100,000 to punch me right now!”

Brooks also claimed that Johnny’s intoxication and fury produced a hostile, aggressive, and unsafe work atmosphere, which led to his being beaten by Johnny during the filming of a crime thriller as he attempted to enforce a permit limitation during a late night of filming. He said that he was sacked from the film after refusing to sign a release signing away his right to sue over the incident.

However, Depp believes his actions were in self-defense and that Brooks ‘provoked’ others.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star recently won a defamation suit against ex-wife Amber Heard, with Vasquez and Ben Chew leading his legal team. A Virginia jury awarded the celebrity $10.35 million in damages for a Washington Post op-ed by ex-wife Amber Heard that did not mention Depp by name but said she had endured domestic abuse.

During the six-week Depp-Heard trial, Vasquez rose from associate to partner at legal firm Brown Rudnick, and her cross-examination of Heard went viral.

The celebrity attorney’s sudden fame evidently enraged Heard who took a shot at Vasquez and her colleagues in an interview, saying Depp had better lawyers than she had.

Sources say Vasquez has been secretly dating Englishman Edward Owen , a successful Cambridge-educated senior director at WeWork.
