Celebrity Olivia Dunne, well known as Livvy, is a renowned athlete who has achieved great success in her college career. As an artistic gymnast and social media personality she has risen to fame and recently featured in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit annual magazine. She holds the title of the highest-paid female college athlete in the country.
For her debut in the SI Swimsuit edition, the LSU gymnast made a bold decision to trade her usual purple and gold leotard for a collection of swimsuits that embraced a dark and moody aesthetic.
In an interview, Dunne expressed her desire for people to see her Sports Illustrated photos and realize that they can have the best of both worlds. During the photoshoot in Puerto Rico, the athlete brought to life the character of Wednesday Addams from the Netflix series “Wednesday.” The SI Swimsuit team achieved this transformation by styling her in swimsuits featuring a darker color palette. The ensembles included cut-out designs, vintage T-shirts, and plaid patterns, which altogether created a British punk-inspired aesthetic.

To showcase some of the pieces from Dunne’s 2023 photo shoot, there are a few notable swimsuits highlight. One such swimsuit, created by La Revêche, offered a modern twist on the classic black swimsuit. It featured edgy cut-outs and floral details at the center, adding a unique touch.
In line with the darker color palette, Livvy wore an ELLISS swimsuit in collaboration with SSENSE. This NCAA D-1 athlete sported the swimsuit on location, and it showcased a straight neckline with a graphic pattern printed throughout.
Another striking piece worn by Dunne was an asymmetrical swimsuit set made of printed lycra and mesh. The design created the illusion of cut-outs, and she complemented the look with a white “London calling” graphic T-shirt by GANNI, acting as a cover-up.

Remaining faithful to the overall edgy style, the gymnast donned an all-black swimsuit that appeared to be a one-piece but was actually composed of a top and bottom. The bikini featured a brass hook attachment and gold detailing clasps to accentuate the gold elements.
To continue embracing the edgy aesthetic, Dunne wore a white matte swimsuit from Christopher Esber. The adjustable one-piece included multiple cut-outs and maintained its structure with brass orbit detailing in the center.
