Media mogul Rupert Murdoch `Fox News ` is getting a divorce from celebrity model Jerry Hall, according to multiple reports. The celebrity couple had got married in March 2016. It was a low key ceremony that took place at Spencer House, overlooking Green Park, in central London.
The New York Times, the first outlet to break the news, said that two people familiar with the matter had told them about the impending divorce between the media baron and the actress. The report also said that Murdoch’s fourth divorce would not have an impact on the companies in which he has high stakes. These companies include Fox News and the Wall Street Journal, as well as British newspapers such as The Times and Sunday Times. The Murdoch family shares in companies founded by him are in a strictly managed trust.
The 91-year old billionaire was married to the 65-year old actress for six years. This is his shortest marriage. This was Jerry Hall’s first marriage. However, the model from Texas was in a relationship with British rocker Mick Jagger until 1999. The 22 year long relationship between the rocker and the model produced four children named Elizabeth, Georgia May, Gabriel and James. Jerry Hall was one of the most famous fashion models of the seventies and eighties.
Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall got married in March 2016, in a quiet ceremony that was attended by all 10 of their children (six of his and four of hers). The celebrity couple met in 2015, after they were introduced by Murdoch’s sister, in Australia. They had been discreetly dating for a while and their relationship was reported by The Mail on Sunday, in October 2015.
The celebrity couple went public with their relationship on October 31, when they were seen together at the Rugby World Cup final. It took place in Twickenham, in London.
Representatives of both Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall have not responded when asked for comments by multiple outlets.
