Celebrity Producer Harvey Weinstein gets no break on sexual assault charges in Britain

The Crown Prosecution Service in Britain will be charging Harry Weinstein, who was convicted on two counts of indecent assault against a  woman in London in 1996.

Weinstein, the co-founder of the Miramax entertainment company and The Weinstein Company movie studio  produced  big blockbuster movie hits such as. “Pulp Fiction” and “The Crying Game.” He was the most powerful movie mogul in Hollywood.

The allegations of sexual assault against former Hollywood movie producer Harvey Weinstein  began in 1996, said the British police. These  multiple assaults took place between the 1980s up until 2015. Britain does not have a statute of limitations for rape or sexual assault.

Harvey Weinstein, currently six in jail where he was extradited in 2021 as he awaits trial. He has been charged because  he assaulted five women in the Beverly Hills in Los Angeles area back in 2004, all the way up to 2013.

The trial will begin in New York in September. Weinstein has already been sentenced to 23 years in prison he is appealing his conviction with his attorney’s. Weinstein had a vast previous history of sexual misconduct and harassment. Allegations brought out by many women started the # metomovement. Since then many women have come forward due to the publicity up the allegations against Weinstein and many predatory men in high profile entertainment and media industry have been charged with sexual assault and rape. One of them being  accused was Bill Cosby.
