It appears as if he might become the owner of Ottawa Senators as well. The Deadpool actor had mentioned his interest in acquiring the team, with a group, when it came up for sale months ago. The deadline for offers for the team is May 15.
Celebrity Ryan Reynolds is preparing a bid of $1 billion for the team together with the Remington Group. The Ottawa Sun was the first to report the news. The celebrity star and real estate mogul Christopher Bratty are headlining the group.

In an interview on YouTube with a young Derek in December the celebrity said, “If we progress with the Ottawa Senators, I will be a frothy, rabies-infused fan the likes of which the NHL has never seen.”

Team Reynolds is not the only billionaire group that wants to buy the Ottawa Senators, currently owned by the Melnyk family, which is looking to sell the ice hockey team. It has competition from six billionaires or groups

According to the outlet, celebrity Reynolds and his group are making a serious pitch for the club. Ryan Reynolds worked in tandem with the community and boosted the standing of Wrexham FC. If his group buys the club, he is expected to work with the ice hockey team Ottawa Senators to help it reach greater heights as he did so, with his football club.
