On Tuesday, celebrity actor Stanley Tucci appeared on a popular TV show and told the host that he was looking for a new platform for his food and travel show. The 62-year old actor said that the network who had been hosting the show had canceled Season 3. However, he wanted to host a third season and more and was looking for a network that would make it possible.
Stanley Tucci appeared on Tuesday, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He told the host of the NBC show that CNN had canceled Season 3 of his popular food and travel show “Searching for Italy.” Tucci was on the show to promote his latest film a Whitney Houston biopic called “I Want to Dance With Somebody.”
On the show Ticci revealed that although CNN had canceled the show, they hoped to end up with some other streaming service as he not only wanted to do Season 3 but also wanted to continue with many more seasons of the show.
On The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon asked, “So, Searching for Italy is searching for…”
Stanley Tucci replied, “A network. It’s not as appetizing.”
The critically acclaimed show has seen two successful seasons. The 48-year old host said that the show had inspired him to become a chef. Fallon also said that the show had inspired him to make a pizza that he had uploaded on YouTube. However, he was strongly critiqued by another show host Jimmy Kimmel. Fans are devastated by the loss.
Celebrity Stanley Tucci chipped into the conversation by exclaiming that Kimmel made incredible pizza and he had eaten pizza in the host’s house. He also exclaimed that he couldn’t make pizza like Kimmel and described him (or to be exact his culinary skills especially pizza making) as “amazing.”
Celebrity host Jimmy Fallon and celebrity actor Stanley Tucci also spoke more about the movie Tucci had come on the show to promote. He said that he had prepared for his role as legendary producer Clive Davis by watching a documentary on him as well as through a Zoom call and a short meeting. He described Clive as “generous”, “kind”, and “fascinating.” English actress Naomi Ackie plays Whitney Houston in the film “I Want To Dance With Somebody” to be released by Sony Pictures in theaters on December 23, 2022.
