Recently Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been in the news. However, this time it is his dad, the 76-year-old Errol Musk who is in the limelight. The tech billionaire’s father revealed that he had a second child with his stepdaughter in 2019, and had shared the news with his son, Elon. Errol claimed that his son was too preoccupied to respond to his announcement that he fathered a child with his own stepdaughter, with whom he now has another child.
The news comes after Errol revealed in an interview with The Sun that he had a second unplanned child with 34-year-old Jana in 2019. He and Jana have a son, Elliot Rush a.k.a Rushi. For eighteen months after Rushi was born, Jana lived with Errol and they had another, unplanned baby, who is now three years old. Errol explained to the outlet that he notified all his children about the arrival of Rushi. His youngest son, Kimbal, stated, ‘It happens.’ However, Elon’s response was, “Okay, I got it, but I’m real busy right now. I’ll speak to you in due course.”
Elon and Errol have been at odds for many years, beginning with a falling out following his parents’ divorce. Elon had reportedly gone “berserk” after learning that his South African engineer father had fathered a child with Jana, the first time. Jana is Errol’s 42-year-old stepdaughter, whom he has raised since she was four. Errol was married to Jana’s mother Heide for 18 years and they had two daughters together, Rose and Alexandra.
The senior Musk and Jana no longer live together, but Jana and the kids had visited him some months back. The kids supposedly got on his nerves, but he said that he misses them after they left. Errol is open to fathering more children. According to him, the only reason people are on the earth is to reproduce.
Despite his reported rage and indifference toward his father’s actions, Elon is no stranger to having multiple children with different mothers. Recent documents from court revealed that the tech billionaire had twins with one of his top executives in November, just weeks before having a child via surrogate with Grimes, the music star. Shivon Zilis, the director of operations at Musk’s company Neuralink is reportedly the mother of Elon’s twins.
