Elon Musk’s company SpaceX has said that their proposed Mars colony will not recognize Earth Laws. These claims were found in the “Governing Laws” section in the terms of Starlink’s beta consumer service. Whole Mars Catalogue tweeted this on October 27, 2020.
This section says that the services on the Earth and the Moon will be governed by California State Laws but Mars was a free planet and that they would not abide by Earth Laws on Mars or other space colonies. Disputes, which may arise at the time when there is a Martian settlement, will be settled through good faith using self governing principles.
Musk has gigantic plans to colonize Mars. He knows that it is a difficult mission; filled with danger and failures. Last week, during the annual conference of the Mars Society he said, “This might really come down to: Are we going to create a self-sustaining city on Mars before or after World War 3.”
Musk had recently announced the launch of a massive Starship rocket to Mars. In 2022 it will carry cargo but 2024 mission to the Red planet will be a manned one.
