Mackenzie Scott , former wife of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is now the richest woman in the entire world. Her  fortune has superseded L’Oréal heiress Francoise Bettencourt Meyers according to the Bloomberg billionaire index. Her total worth is $68 billion dollars. At the time of her divorce settlement in 2019 she received 4% $35 billion dollars’ worth of Amazon shares.

Mackenzie Scott is big on philanthropy. Her donations have been nearly $1.7 billion to 116 organizations. Her philanthropic efforts have been focused on climate change and racial inequality.
