Reddit, Facebook, Google, Netflix, Airbnb, and Spotify are planning an online protest called the “Day of Action.”

Do you like having access to social media sites without paying extra money to your internet provider? How about streaming music from your computer? Playing computer games? If this bill passes, your freedom to move about the internet will be hindered, and your internet provider will have the ability to favor or block particular websites.

The opposition filed a the following brief against it :

800+ companies from all 50 states are calling on Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai to protect a free & open internet. With out net neutrality, Internet Service Providers (ISPs) could slow down a specific company’s internet traffic because that company can’t afford or didn’t pay for the internet fast lane putting them at a competitive disadvantage.
