In the current season’s premiere (Season 17), Grey’s Anatomy features a dream reunion between the beloved characters Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) and Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo). Meredith collapses in the parking lot of the Hospital – Grey Sloan Memorial. Appropriately Derek appears in a dream sequence with her on the beach. Fans were heartbroken when McDreamy (Derek) left the serial after a tragic death in April 2015. Many of them will rejoice to see their favorite couple back together, even if it’s only in dream sequences.
The two-hour season premiere of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy is dedicated to frontline workers. It was filled with tragedy as Meredith battled with several COVID-19 deaths. There was anger as medical personnel had to fight with insufficient PPEs. The show had its beautiful moments when the teenage girl whom DeLuca had tried to save from human trafficking was reunited with her family. Almost all human emotions were there in this premier as Owen refused to reunite with a penitent Teddy causing heartbreak and finally there was happiness as Link and Derek’s sister took home their new baby boy named Scout Derek Shepherd Lincoln.”
