According to local police, the FBI has assigned additional agents to investigate the unsolved November 13 murders of four University of Idaho students. In a press release issued on Monday, the Moscow Police Department (MPD), which is leading the investigation into the deaths of students Ethan Chapin, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Madison Mogen, stated that about 60 FBI agents and additionally two members of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) have been given to the case.

The case was assigned to 46 FBI agents and two BAU analysts on December 15, the last time police issued a press release. 11 detectives and personnel from the Moscow Police Department and 28 officers from the Idaho State Police are also working on the case. As the case continues to plague the nation, police have said that they have received about 10,000 leads in the deaths of the students. Thousands of public tips, which are still coming in, are expected to aid police in solving the murders.

Idaho Students Murders Update: Police to Investigate Victims’ Hands for Clues, Video Showing Group Moving Towards House Near Crime Scene Surfaces

The Moscow Police Department and the FBI are continuing their investigation into the deaths of four University of Idaho students at their Idaho home. New FBI recruits will continue to look for clues, gather information, and examine images in the hopes of identifying the murderer.

Specially trained investigators will now reportedly examine the tips and videos submitted in order to piece together the puzzle. The brutal quadruple homicide occurred 37 days ago, but the lack of progress in the case has frustrated the victims’ families, the people of Moscow, and the nation, which wants to see those responsible found and prosecuted.

Mogen and Goncalves had been at a local bar in Moscow, Idaho the night before, on Saturday, November 12. Chapin and Kernodle had been at a party at the University of Idaho’s Sigma Chi fraternity house. At dawn, both parties returned to their respective homes. Chapin was not a permanent resident, but he was staying with his girlfriend Xana Kernodle. The bodies of the four university students were later discovered on the house’s second and third floors. Police and true-crime  fans  and sleuths are on the hunt for more clues.

Police in Idaho is looking for information about a white Hyundai Elantra that was in the “immediate area” of the Moscow home where four students were found dead.
The occupant(s) of that vehicle, according to police, may have vital information about the murders.
