On Sunday, Jena Frumes, girlfriend of singer Jason Derulo, announced that the couple was expecting their first child together, on Instagram. She posted a photo of Derulo holding her baby bump, with a beach in the background and captioned it “Mom & Dad.”
Derulo wrote on Instagram @jenafrumes that he “couldn’t be more excited for this new chapter” in their lives, along with the announcement video that was shot on a beach.
The singer and the model started dating before the coronavirus pandemic began. Derulo told PEOPLE last August that he had met Frumes at the gym. They began dating and started posting TikTok videos together. They have shared videos of each other on their Instagram pages.

He also spoke of how the pandemic had changed people’s lives including his own. He said that he had started thinking differently about his career. He said that he couldn’t be away from home for long periods of time. He also noted that the pandemic had brought changes in other people’s lives as well.
The star spoke in length about the effects the coronavirus would have in the future. He said that things could not continue as if nothing had happened. He personally believed that he couldn’t go back to his old lifestyle where he was traveling on a plane each and every day of his life.
In another interview with Page Six last summer, the singer had spoken of the possibility of him having “baby fever.” He had made videos with his niece Skylar. He was asked if those videos gave him any “baby fever.” He had laughed and answered that he was thought that he was getting to that age and that he didn’t know.”
Now, it’s known as the Jason Derulo and Jena Frumes get ready to welcome their first baby into their lives.
