Royal Never Give Up swept Evil Geniuses in the Knockout Stage on Friday to advance to the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational finals in Busan, South Korea.

RNG, who are bidding to repeat as champion at the League of Legends event, won the first map on blue and the next two on red.

Sen-Ming “Ming” Shi (1-1-13 KDA) was named the MVP for RNG, who will face the winner of Saturday’s second Knockout Stage semifinal pitting T1 against G2 Esports.

Teammates Yang-Wei “Wei” Yan and Yuan-Hao “Xiaohu” Li added 4-1-15 and 8-4-8 KDAs, respectively.

“Stellar performances all around the board allowed us to take our Semifinal match and advance to the Finals of #MSI2022,” Royal Never Give Up wrote on Twitter.

The best-of-five final is on Sunday, with the winner earning $75,000 USD and the runner-up taking home $50,000.
