She was also the highest-paid female college athlete in 2022, with partnerships with several clothing and lifestyle brands, according to Sports Illustrated.
The head coach of Louisiana State University’s gymnastics team says the school will beef up security following allegations that fans created a “mob-like atmosphere” at a recent meet in Utah. According to ESPN, some of the fans who caused the commotion were at the Jan. 6 event to see Olivia Dunne, an LSU gymnast with nearly millions of followers.

Some of them were holding signs in an attempt to catch Dunne’s attention, as well as a cardboard cutout of the gymnast. According to the outlet, they also “screamed” and chanted her name, causing a commotion that disrupted her teammates and competitors. The LSU team bus had to be moved to avoid them, and police were stationed in front to assist the athletes in getting to safety.

Coach Jay Clark announced that a security officer will now accompany the team to competitions for the remainder of the season. The person will be in their hotel and also outside their locker room. The security would also be there when they would be getting to and from the bus, Clark explained. He said that the officer will be there to establish a safe perimeter for everyone.

Clark stated that he wanted to ensure that fans could obtain autographs from the gymnasts, but that his athletes’ safety had to come first. Gymnasts frequently interact and mingle with their family and friends in between routines, but Clark suggested that this could change to better protect the athletes.
The celebrity college gymnast begged fans to be ‘respectful’ after multiple claims of incidents surfaced following the program’s meet against Utah last weekend.
LSU will play at the University of Kentucky on Friday before returning home to face Oklahoma on Monday.
