McDonalds Union Strike – CWEB.com

The vote in favor of industrial action is in response to low-wages, working conditions and the use of zero-hour contracts. The action – also taking place in Cambridge – is in association with the Bakers, Food and Allied Workers Union. With the first walk-out just after midnight, the strike has been in progress all day.

“Their demands – an end to zero hours contracts by the end of the year, union recognition and a £10 per hour minimum wage.”
