Meta and Amazon (AMZN) have connected to making shopping easier for web fans. Meta the parent of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp wants its web fans to remain on its app. So, it has debuted a new feature enabling its web fans to connect their Facebook and Instagram to Amazon, shop and check out on the e-commerce site, without leaving Facebook or Instagram.

Web fans who have Facebook and Instagram accounts can easily buy merchandise on Amazon while remaining on their social media app. The new feature called “Purchase with Amazon without leaving Facebook or Instagram” appeared on a support page of its site, on Tuesday.

The page tells its web fans that they can get a “more seamless shopping experience from an ad on Facebook or Instagram” if they choose to link their Meta account with Amazon. It also states that checking out with Amazon will be available “without leaving Facebook or Instagram” and that web fans could “experience more relevant ads.”

An Amazon spokesperson also released a statement that noted that web fans on social media apps from Meta including Facebook and Instagram need not leave their social apps to check out with Amazon.

The statement also said that the new experience would help web fans in the U.S. to see “real-time pricing, Prime eligibility, delivery estimates, and product details on select Amazon product ads in Facebook and Instagram.”

Meta has seen a jump in its business after facing declines in revenue in the past few quarters. The Menlo Park based tech giant has said that its huge investments in artificial intelligence has helped it partner with retailers who want to serve their web fans with targeted promotions.

The new deal between Meta and Amazon promises to benefit both the companies though they may face technical and other glitches that would have to be worked on after web fans on Facebook and Instagram use the new feature; to check out on Amazon without leaving these apps.
