Microsoft (MSFT) announced that it is rolling out its DALL-E powered AI image generator for global Edge users. It will be available on the Edge sidebar. Earlier the tech giant had integrated its image generator into its Bing chatbot. Making it available on desktop for Edge users will help it reach a much wider user base.
Using Microsoft’s Image Creator in the sidebar of Edge will make it easy for users to continue working on the web while the AI makes the images for you. As of now, it has to be manually added to the sidebar by clicking the + button and then you have to toggle the switch that is next to Image Creator.
Users have to tap on the Image Creator icon and enter a prompt, and then make a choice from four different image options. These images can be downloaded or uploaded to different platforms.
The Redmond Washington headquartered tech giant said that other features have also been added to Edge. It includes a Drop tool. This feature allows users to send files and content to themselves and creates a personal notebook. It is possible to sync this notebook across devices as all the files and content are available at one central location.

Microsoft has also added a feature called Edit Image. It lets users perform the following: crop images, rotate them, adjust brightness and contrast in images as well as apply filters. All these editing features can be applied directly in the browser. There is no need for additional software.
Microsoft also released a feature called Efficiency Mode. It optimizes the performance of the browser. It reduces energy consumption by suspending tabs that are inactive as well as limiting background activity.
Another feature that has been added to Edge is called “Browser essentials.” This tool is a button that can be clicked on Edge and is available on early access builds. It describes its efficiency as well its ability to scan malware to the user.
Earlier this week, Microsoft released a preview of Workspaces in Edge. This feature allows the creation of tab collections and these can be shared with different groups of people.
