Ty France had a two-run single, Adam Frazier contributed a two-run triple and Julio Rodriguez smacked a two-run homer to help the Seattle Mariners notch an 8-2 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday night in Anaheim, Calif.

Robbie Ray struck out 10 in six innings as the Mariners won for the fifth time in their past seven games. Jesse Winker’s sixth-inning sacrifice fly capped a three-run uprising to put Seattle ahead for good, and the club tacked on five runs in the ninth inning.

Shohei Ohtani had three hits and Luis Rengifo homered and drove in both Los Angeles runs. The Angels have dropped the first two contests of the three-game set.

Ray (9-8) gave up two runs and six hits to end a four-start winless stretch.

Rodriguez had three of Seattle’s nine hits. Frazier and Sam Haggerty added two hits apiece.

Angels starter Jose Suarez (4-5) allowed three runs and four hits over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out five and walked none.

Suarez retired the first 16 batters he faced before Frazier reached on a clean infield single in the sixth. The left-handed-hitting Frazier slapped a grounder that Angels shortstop David Fletcher gloved in the hole, but his throw had no chance to retire Frazier.

Suarez didn’t retire another batter. Haggerty and Rodriguez followed with singles to load the bases and France ended Suarez’s night with a two-run base hit to right to tie the score at 2.

Winker greeted Jimmy Herget with the sacrifice fly to right to score Rodriguez as Seattle took a 3-2 lead.

Frazier ripped his two-run triple with two outs in the ninth and scored on Haggerty’s infield single to make it 6-2. Rodriguez followed with an opposite-field shot to right off Jesse Chavez. It was the rookie’s 19th of the season.

Rengifo got the Angels on the board with two outs in the bottom of the first when he hit his ninth homer of the season.

Los Angeles strung together three straight one-out singles in the third to make it 2-0. Fletcher and Ohtani started the stretch and Rengifo finished it with a run-scoring hit to left.
