The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated right-hander Ian Kennedy from the 15-day injured list and designated left-hander Dallas Keuchel for assignment Thursday.

Kennedy, 37, landed on the IL on July 4 with inflammation in his right calf. The 16-year veteran is 3-4 this season with a 3.58 ERA and four saves in 32 relief appearances.

Keuchel, 34, was 0-2 with a 9.64 ERA in four starts for Arizona. The former Cy Young Award winner began the season with the Chicago White Sox but was designated for assignment after going 2-5 with a 7.88 ERA in eight starts.

Arizona also reinstated right-hander J.B. Bukauskas from the 60-day IL (strained right shoulder) and optioned him to Triple-A Reno.

Bukauskas, 25, made his major league debut last season and went 2-2 with a 7.79 ERA in 21 appearances out of the Diamondbacks’ bullpen.
