Nathan Nelson former aide to Matt Gaetz speaks to the FBI

Ex-aide Nathan Nelson two FBI agents questioned  him at his house after information heard from  from members of the media knew that Nelson knew of Gaetz’s alleged involvement in illegal activities. Nathan Nelson  was Gaetz’s former director of military affairs.

In a press conference, Nelson states, “I’m here to state this morning that nothing could be further from the truth,” Nelson said at a press conference in northwest Florida. “Neither I, nor any other member of Congressman Gaetz’s staff had any knowledge of illegal activities.”

Matthew Louis Gaetz II is a lawyer and Republican politician serving as the U.S. representative for Florida’s 1st congressional district since 2017. Since 2020, Gaetz has been under federal investigation for potential sex trafficking. Gaetz is also accused up having a relationship with a 17-year-old underage girl. Gaetz is  denying all charges.

Texts and voicemail recordings that were publicized giving insight into the relationship between North Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz and former Seminole County Tax Collector Joel Greenberg.

Greenberg already facing charges of stalking and identity theft as well as sex trafficking a child is also facing additional charges related to Small Business Administration pandemic loans he received after resigning from office. In the beginning of 2020 federal court documents where dissolve by Greenberg for two companies that he owned, Greenberg media and DG3 network .Federal prosecutors stated after he was arrested Greenberg started both companies again in order to obtain SBA loans in regard to pandemic assistance for COVID-19.

Greenberg funneled funds through CashApp to send $3,000 to an  SBA employee along with sending three additional payments equaling $16,000 to another person. Greenberg faces 33 federal charges.

Gaetz said in a statement that he and his family are being threatened in a multimillion-dollar extortion scheme involving a former Justice Department official. DOJ is pursuing a separate inquiry into Gaetz’s claims of being extorted.
