Ana Walshe’s mother has now lifted her silence, shedding insight into her daughter’s mental state just before she went missing. Ana begged Milanka Ljubicic, who lives in Serbia, to visit her in the United States a week before her abduction on January 1. Ana texted her mother December 25th, 2022. There was something distraught. She told her daughter that she could not get there in one day for such a long trip. She needed more time to prepare for the long journey at 69 years of age.
Ana Walshe and her husband, Brian, rented Mike and Mandi Silva’s home in Revere, Massachusetts, for the last four years, according to NBC News in Washington. Ana hurried to sell off assets, including an apartment and a car, for cash on December 28 or 29, according to the couple they Ana rented from. Ana commuted to Washington D.C. for work. She is a Regional General Manager at Tishman Speyer.
The news outlet also reported that the Silva’s received a text message from Brian Walshe on Jan. 2, that said, “Happy new year. Sorry for the delay. I misplaced my phone and my son just found it.” At this point Brian Walshe had already reported to the authorities that his wife Ana was missing. The Silva’s said that Ana had said “a big surprise” coming in the New Year. But now it may be too late as Ana is still missing and feared dead as she leaves behind her three children who are now in state custody.
What more do we know about Brian Walshe? Brian Walshe is also embroiled in a legal battle over his late father’s will. Members of the family and associates said he was disinherited from his father’s estate and proceeded to burn the papers and liquidate the assets. According to an affidavit filed in probate court, “Brian is a nasty person and capable of just about anything,” a friend of his father said.
Two close friends of his father, Dr. Thomas Walshe and his cousin have claimed in blistering court documents that Brian was separated from most of his family because he stole a million dollars from his father. They believe that he attempted to deceive his father after he suffered a stroke to extract additional funds.
In a 2019 declaration of facts, Jeffrey Ornstein indicated that he had known Brian since he was 13 years old. He claimed Brian’s father informed him that his son was a “long-term patient” at the Austin Riggs Psychiatric Center in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, and had been declared a “sociopath.”
