Today Pakistan’s Celebrity cricket player Prime Minister Imran Khan has been fired as the country’s leader following a vote of no confidence over allegations of economic mismanagement, corruption , financial disaster bringing an end to his term in office.
Khan acted unconstitutionally last Sunday in blocking the no-confidence vote and dissolving parliament, the Supreme Court ruled on Thursday, ordering parliament to reconvene.
This is the first time the no confidence motion against a prime minister of Pakistan has been successful.
The parliamentary vote, held Sunday, saw the former cricket star defeated. The opposition needed a minimum of 172 votes out of the 342 member assembly to oust him.
