On December 14, a suspect came up from behind a 63-year-old Jewish man in Central Park and attacked him. He passed antisemitic remarks as well as screamed “Kanye2024” after the attack. This incident took place after celebrity rapper Kanye West had appeared on an Alex Jones InfoWars interview and had expressed his liking for Hitler and the Nazis. Police say that they have identified the man who carried out the attack.
According to a report in the New York Daily News, 32-year-old Perin Jacobchuk has been accused of sneaking behind the elderly man in Central Park, near Terrace Drive and East Drive. The incident took place in the iconic park in Manhattan at about 7.30 p.m., about three weeks ago.
Jacobchuk reportedly shouted, “F*** you, Jew!” He also screamed, “Kanye 2024!”
The police also said that the suspect had sucker-punched the victim, who fell down on the ground. The victim was injured and went for treatment to an area hospital for a chipped tooth and a broken hand.
A 63-year-old victim suffered lacerations and a chipped tooth after being assaulted by this perpetrator inside Central Park.

Numerous anti-Jewish statements were made prior to the assault.

According to the police, the suspect took off west on E. 72nd street, after attacking the elderly man. He was carrying a bicycle that was filled with items. One of them was a sign that read “Hungry Disabled.”
The investigation into the attack is being conducted by the New York Police Department’s Hate Crimes Task Force. The NYPD has asked people to call Crime Stoppers if they know his whereabouts.

Earlier the popular rapper Ye as he is now called had spoken for the Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler and said that he had done “good things” and much more, when he appeared on a show by Alex Jones, a far-right media host. Ye also met former president Donald Trump at his residence at Mar-A-Lago along with white supremacist Nick Fuentes.
Earlier, Kanye West had passed several antisemitic comments against the Jewish community. His continued attacks on the community led to cancelation of several lucrative business partnerships and friendships including those with Nike, Balenciaga and more.
