Celebrity pop star Demi Lovato will now identify as non-binary, in a tweet this past Wednesday Demi said she will be using the pronouns they/them from now on.

“Today is a day I’m so happy to share more of my life with you all — I am proud to let you know that I identify as non-binary & will officially be changing my pronouns to they/them moving forward,”

“I’m still learning & coming into myself, & I don’t claim to be an expert or a spokesperson. Sharing this with you now opens another level of vulnerability for me. I’m doing this for those out there that haven’t been able to share who they truly are with their loved ones. Please keep living in your truths.” Demi said.

Demi also announced she will start a new podcast, “4D with Demi Lovato.”

In 2018 Lovato experienced personal struggles and almost died of an overdose. She said in an interview that the doctors told her she had 5 to 10 minutes to live and is now grateful she is alive. She is in recovery for years, but sill miserable. She admits now she needs to keep control of all things in her life, including her finances. She admits she is responsible for her overdose. Lovato ended her engagement to actor Max Ehrich, stating ‘I am too gay to marry a man right now’
