Singapore Will Pay Citizens for Keeping Healthy with Apple Watch

The government an Apple have partnered to keep its citizens healthy by rewarding user behavior with the new Apple watch and iPhone application.  The government of Singapore is allowing citizen to earn rewards by completing fitness activities such as walking, swimming, and yoga to name a few. Citizens can earn as much as $280 USD by completing their goals within the app. Coaching is also available on the LumiHealth app and  update notices for immunizations and screenings to keep better track if your health. Designed by Singapore’s Health Promotion Board  in conjunction with Apple as part of the country’s Smart Nation initiative, a national effort to leverage technology to deliver benefits to its citizens and businesses.

The LumiHealth app is voluntary and is designed with user privacy and security utilizing encrypted data and not to be sold to any third-party services for consumer marketing.
