In connection with the deaths of two American citizens in the state of Matamoros, the FBI and Mexican authorities have made an arrest. José “N,” a suspect, age 24, has been taken into custody. The man, who was in charge of ensuring that the victims didn’t escape throughout the three-day captivity, was apprehended on the scene on Tuesday, according to Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal.
Tuesday’s televised interview with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal disclosed the devastating news. According to the Tamaulipas Attorney General, a fourth individual recovered uninjured and has returned to the US, while another was found injured.

LaTavia Washington, a resident of South Carolina who had traveled to Mexico for a cosmetic operation, was one of the four victims of the Mexico kidnapping.
The four were discovered in a wooden cabin where they were being guarded by a man who had been arrested, according to Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal. The Americans were moved around by their kidnappers, according to Villarreal, and at one time they were taken to a hospital “to evade efforts to rescue them.”
Shaeed Woodard, Zindell Brown died in the kidnapping. Eric James Williams, and Latavia “Tay” McGee were the individuals named by relatives on Monday. When entering the Gulf cartel-dominated state of Tamaulipas in Matamoros on March 3rd, they were held captive.
Karine Jean-Pierre, the press secretary for the White House, stated on Tuesday that all assaults on Americans are intolerable.
Ms. Jean-Pierre stated that additional details would be disclosed following a US official update to the families of the two tragic victims and the two abduction survivors. The Biden administration, including Mexican drug cartels and people traffickers, remain dedicated to “disrupting transnational criminal organizations,” she added.
