December is not the holiday season but is also the month of giving back. Walmart has started its Season of Giving back campaign. The campaign runs from December 6 to January 26. The big box retailer is matching associate donations 2:1. This is the Associate Giving Program of the year.

This means that if a Walmart, Sam’s Club or any other brand associate affiliated with Walmart gives $5, Walmart will match the donation by giving $10. The giant retailer said that it will match all donations up to a cap of $3 million during the campaign.

On Wednesday, December 8, Walmart Global Communications director and Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas board member Felicia McCranie announced that Walmart will once again launch the Season of Giving program, in a press release.

McCraine said that as a current board member and alumni of Single Parent Scholarship Fund NWA she would like to encourage associates to make a donation to the organization.

She added that she was one of the many examples of how SPSFNWA contributions had helped single parents. She said that they could reach their dreams of higher education due to the program. It also strengthened families and local communities.

Walmart has a series of scholarships for its associates. It also matches work put in at voluntary organizations by associates by giving them monetary compensation for their work. In the Season of Giving Campaign the largest employer in the nation is looking to double the contributions made by its associates.

Associates can visit the Associate Giving Program page which is available on OneWalmart for further details.
