Celebrity rapper Snoop Dogg has been named as the co-founder of a new live broadcast platform on Web3. According to a new social media reveal, Dogg who already has a larger presence than other celebrity stars on Web3, is associated with this platform. He has also been named as a co-founder of the Web3 streaming platform along with a tech entrepreneur founder.

Celebrity Snoop Dogg and tech entrepreneur Sam Jones have launched a platform that was described as a live broadcast platform. This new platform is called Shiller. It is based on blockchain—the technology behind Web3 and aims to combine real-time live streaming with the emerging Web3 technology.
American rapper Snoop Dogg has been in diverse Web3 partnerships with a fellow rapper, a crypto casino, and pioneering NFT and metaverse creators.
Early March, crypto casino Roobet announced that it had partnered with celebrity Snoop Dogg. The rapper will act as the company’s “Chief Ganjaroo Officer.”
In August 2022, the celebrity rapper partnered with Yuga Labs during the MTV Video Music Awards. He performed on a stage that was transformed to showcase the metaverse. Yuga Labs built both the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and CryptoPunks.
In April 2022, Snoop Dogg entered the metaverse with Sandbox. They partnered together to launch an NFT collection called “Snoop Avatars.” They also released a hip-hop single called A Hard-Working Man. After the release of the track, they dropped 50,000 NFT pieces.

Shiller released a statement that its platform that was scheduled to be released in the beginning of the year had been delayed and that it would have an April release.

Shiller, with co-founders’ celebrity Snoop Dogg and tech entrepreneur Sam Jones, will have blockchain features that would allow content creators to “token-gate” their streams. Shiller will also promote non fungible tokens (NFTs) or other products from e-commerce websites. Content creators could be paid in NFTs or cryptocurrency including ether that can be cashed out as fiat (government-issued currency is called fiat).
