Celebrity Rianne Van Rompaey, Natalia Vodianova, Bella Hadid, Parker Van Noord, Karlie Kloss, and Malick Bodian have teamed up in collaboration with Louis Vuitton and  Yayoi Kusama.

Louis Vuitton is one of the world’s leading international fashion houses, selling its goods through standalone boutiques, lease departments in high-end department stores, and its website’s e-commerce section. Louis Vuitton Malletier, also known as Louis Vuitton or LV, was founded by Louis Vuitton in 1854.

The first phase of Louis Vuitton‘s second collaboration with the artist has begun. There are still dots appearing on bags as hyper-realistic wet paint dabs, inspired by a Louis Vuitton trunk hand-painted by Kusama in 2012, as well as metallic studs meant to mimic the metallic orbs of Kusama’s Narcissus Garden and the famous Infinity Rooms.

The over-450-piece collection is more than just bags. Dotted jeans, spotted Archlight sneakers, and metallized leather jackets are also available, as well as menswear, fragrances, and eyewear. The second drop, which will feature more of Kusama’s pumpkin motif, will be available in March. Fans are super excited.

Yayoi Kusama’s sci-fi, op-art pumpkins, polka dots, and tendrils overtook the high-fashion realm of Louis Vuitton in 2012. The brand, then led by Marc Jacobs, opened a veritable Pandora’s box and revealed a new dimension.

Kusama, now 93, is back to shake up Louis Vuitton with her second dot mania collection for the brand. This otherworldly escapist fantasy comes at the perfect time. Kusama transformed her own life from humble beginnings in rural Japan to internationally renowned artist, spinning enchantment from the power of her art. She has emerged as the most influential living female artist today, despite being completely unclassifiable.

Kusama has been fascinated by dots since the 1950s, and they have never failed to inspire her. In general, they represent infinity. “My desire was to predict and measure the infinity of the unbounded universe, from my own position in it, with dots–an accumulation of particles forming the negative spaces in the net,” she wrote in her autobiography Infinity Net.

The dynamic collaboration will be celebrated with additional store window displays, anamorphic billboards, and pop-up stores, as well as AR experiences and an XR game.

Drop 1 will be available in China and Japan on January 1, with the rest of the world following on January 6. Starting March 31, 2023, Drop 2 will be available in Louis Vuitton stores.
