Chain Announced as Official Web3 Partner of New England Patriots

On Thursday, Web3 firm Chain announced that it had partnered with Kraft Sports + Entertainment, the company that owns and operates the activities of the New England Patriots, New England Revolution as well as Gillette Stadium. Chain said that the deal that has been signed for several years, will let the company be the “official blockchain and Web3 sponsor.”

Kraft Sports + Entertainment was founded in 1988 and is led by Robert and Jonathan Kraft. It provides operational services to the NFL team the New England Patriots as well as to the charter club of MLS’s New England Revolution and to the Gillette Stadium.

Chain is a well known blockchain company that gets backing from the nation’s leading companies such as Visa and Citigroup. It was also instrumental in releasing the Nftiff project launched by famous jeweler Tiffany & Co. The Web3 company offers developers blockchain infrastructure including building and maintaining blockchain based operations.

Last year, several deals were made between blockchain companies and sports companies as both of them partnered to explore and grow in the Web3 ecosystem. The website blockchain has partnered with the Dallas Cowboys as well as deals with their celebrity quarterback Dak Prescott.

Several NFL players have played roles and continue to do so in Web3. Some of them include the following celebrity players:
Tom Brady
Odell Beckham Jr.
Saquon Barkley
Aaron Jones
Russell Okung
Patrick Mahomes and
Rob ‘Gronk’ Gronkowski.

These celebrity players have accepted payment in crypto, have released non fungible tokens (NFTs) or have appeared in advertisements promoting blockchain and Web3.

Chain is expected to work on developing Web3 experiences for those who visit Gillette Stadium. In a press release, the Web3 company acknowledged that Gillette Stadium was a “world-class physical venue” and that Chain would merge “the physical with the digital to redefine a best-in class fan experience.” Many New England Patriot fans welcomed the new partnership.
