Adidas recently announced that it would continue to sell Yeezy products and restock sneakers under this brand. There have been mixed reactions from web fans. The sales of shoes from the Yeezy brand had been stopped due to antisemitic remarks made by celebrity rapper Ye. He had been canceled by many as his comments and remarks led to an increase in attacks on the Jewish community and other minority groups.
Adidas said that stocks of the Yeezy brand would appear on shelves in an attempt to stem concerns on sustainability and waste. The giant apparel and sneaker maker has also made plans to donate a part of the revenues from the sale to international organizations that suffered the consequences of rapper Ye’s uncalled for remarks.
Fans of Kanye West or Ye as he is now called had earlier burned Yeezy brand shoes or threw them away as garbage. Although this action was their personal choice, the company has stocks that have piled up and trashing these stocks is unsustainable.

There are currently Yeezy sneakers worth more than $1.3 billion in the company’s warehouses. Getting rid of so much stock is financially and environmentally unsound.
Adidas has not provided details about the stock that would be released for sale. It has not mentioned models or the amount that would be donated to charities nor has it mentioned the names of the nonprofits which are expected to get funds, as yet.
Kanye West will continue to receive 15 percent commission as part of his contract. Will consumers who were appalled by his behavior and lack of remorse buy these Yeezy brand shoes remains to be seen.
Although Kanye West has not made any controversial comments in the recent past, he had attempted to sell YEEZY and Balenciaga hoodies at $20 each in a viral video released last November. He has also reportedly filed a patent for Yeezy sock shoes, recently.
