Celebrity Miley Cyrus took to social media to inform her fans and followers that she had been infected with COVID-19. She said that it was “worth it” as she enjoyed the live performances with several thousands in the audience. She said that she knew that the chances of her testing positive was “pretty high” as she met hundreds of fans, each day. However, she expressed her regret that she could not perform at a Grammys party with friend Steven Tyler for a charity—Janie’s Fund, which is important to both of them.
The Hannah Montana actor-singer shared a series of tweets saying that getting COVID-19 was inevitable as she had traveled around the world and had sung before 100,000 people and had met scores of fans each day. However, she said it was “worth it.”
She also noted that she would not be able to perform at Janie’s Fund, a charity supported by her and several celebrities including Steven Tyler of Aerosmith fame. The sold-out Steven Tyler’s Grammy watch party for Janie’s Fund is in its fourth year and will take place Sunday, at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California.
She also reassured her followers that she was fine and not to worry about her. She apologized to Tyler in a follow up tweet, while remaining optimistic that they would “have to ‘Walk This Way’ another time!”
Miley earlier had a scare when the plane she was traveling in to Paraguay was struck by lightning, a few days ago. Although she and the crew were fine, the event was canceled. Two days later her friend Taylor Hawkins, a drummer with the Foo Fighters passed away in Bogota, Colombia.

Miley dedicated the song “Angel Like You” to the drummer when she performed at the Lollapalooza festival in Brazil. She has collaborated with drummer/singer Taylor Hawkins for the song Night Crawling. The track appeared in her album “Plastic Hearts” which was dropped last year.
Miley Cyrus recently dropped “Attention: Miley Cyrus.” This fan curated album has covers with popular artists including her performance of godmother Dolly Parton’s Jolene and “Heart of Glass” by Blondie. We can’t decide whether the original or goddaughter version of Jolene is better as both are excellent. So, you can listen to them and decide for yourself.
