A’ja Wilson recorded 23 points and eight rebounds to help the Las Vegas Aces roll to a 90-77 victory over the visiting Indiana Fever on Thursday night.

Jackie Young scored 16 points and Chelsea Gray registered 14 points, a season-best 12 assists and three steals for the Aces (19-8). Dearica Hamby added 10 points and nine rebounds.

NaLyssa Smith scored 24 points to pace Indiana (5-24), which lost its 11th straight game. Victoria Vivians added 14 points and Kelsey Mitchell had 10 points and seven assists.

The Fever have lost by an average of 14.5 points during their lengthy slide.

The Aces shot 48.1 percent from the field, but just 8 of 26 from 3-point range. All-Star Kelsey Plum scored just nine points, failing to reach double digits for the first time this season.

Indiana made 41.8 percent of its shots and was 9 of 26 from behind the arc. Smith was 5 of 7 from long range.

Indiana committed 17 turnovers and was outrebounded 43-33.

Las Vegas had struggled since opening the season with 13 wins in 15 games. But there weren’t many problems Thursday as the Aces improved to 6-6 since their strong start.

Wilson scored 14 first-half points and Gray added 12 as the Aces led 52-32 at the break.

The Fever trailed by four late in the first quarter before Las Vegas ran off 11 straight points to open a 34-19 lead. Hamby’s driving hoop pushed the advantage to 20 for the first time, 48-28, with 2:03 remaining in the half.

The assault continued in the third quarter as Las Vegas scored 11 consecutive points to increase its lead to 68-37. Wilson capped the spurt with a 3-pointer with 4:44 left in the period.

The Aces led 76-52 entering the fourth quarter before Indiana opened the stanza with a 10-2 push. The Fever outscored Las Vegas 25-14 in the final quarter.

The teams play again July 29 and 31 in Indianapolis.
