Miles Bridges made a go-ahead 3-pointer in the final minute for the second game in a row as the Charlotte Hornets rallied for a 117-114 victory against the visiting Washington Wizards on Wednesday night.

LaMelo Ball racked up 34 points and 13 assists, and Bridges had 33 points and 10 rebounds in Charlotte’s second big comeback in three nights.

Bridges drained a trey to snap a tie with 47 seconds remaining. After Ball’s two free throws at the 17-second mark restored the Hornets’ three-point lead, Washington’s Kyle Kuzma missed a long 3-point attempt with one second left.

The Hornets, fresh off a comeback to defeat the visiting Boston Celtics in overtime Monday, were in danger of losing for the fifth time in their last six games until the latest rally. Brandon Miller provided 15 points, Bryce McGowens added 13 points and Mark Williams had 11 points and 15 rebounds for Charlotte.

Kuzma notched 28 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds, while Jordan Poole had 24 points for the Wizards, who have lost seven straight since a Nov. 8 victory at Charlotte. Daniel Gafford supplied 15 points and 16 rebounds, and Deni Avdija and Tyus Jones each had 13 points.

Charlotte cut a 19-point deficit in the third quarter to 91-85 with 10:10 remaining in the fourth. Poole scored seven points in the first 4 1/2 minutes of the final period to help the Wizards maintain their lead before another Charlotte surge.

The Hornets scored 10 straight points to wipe out a seven-point deficit and go up 105-102 with less than five minutes to play.

Kuzma had six points in Washington’s 16-5 spurt to begin the second half as the Wizards created a 72-54 lead.

The Wizards led 56-49 at halftime courtesy of a 13-2 run to end the second quarter. That scoring flurry came in slightly more than two minutes. It concluded with Corey Kispert’s launch from 39 feet at the buzzer.
