Frenchman Adrian Mannarino rallied to eliminate top seed and World No. 3 Daniil Medvedev of Russia 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 in the second round of the Libema Open on Thursday in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.

Mannarino was able to convert 5 of 6 break points to win in two hours.

Mannarino advances to the quarterfinals, where he’ll play Australian Jordan Thompson, a 7-6 (4), 6-1 winner over Milos Raonic of Canada.

Fourth-seeded Alex de Minaur of Australia also advanced to the quarters by defeating Serbia’s Laslo Djere 6-1, 6-7 (5), 6-3. He’ll play Dutch No. 6 Tallon Griekspoor, who won in straight sets over Alexei Popyrin of Australia.

Boss Open

Frenchman Richard Gasquet upset top-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece 7-6 (8), 2-6, 7-5 in the second round in Stuttgart, Germany.

It was the 600th win of Gasquet’s career. He survived 19 aces by Tsitsipas, winning on the fifth match point in the third set by breaking the Greek’s serve for just the second time in 10 attempts.

Gasquet will play Jan-Lennard Struff of Germany in the quarterfinals. Struff ousted No. 5 Tommy Paul 7-6 (4), 7-6 (5).

Second-seeded Taylor Fritz beat Russia’s Aslan Karatsev 7-6 (4), 6-3 to advance to the quarters, where he’ll play Hungarian qualifier Marton Fucsovics, a three-set winner over Yibing Wu of China.
