Red-hot Russian Daniil Medvedev smashed countryman Andrey Rublev and collected his third straight title with a 6-2, 6-2 win in Saturday’s final at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

The third-seeded Medvedev extended his winning streak to 14 matches with the 68-minute victory against Rublev, the No. 2 seed.

Medvedev struck nine aces, won 83 percent of his first-service points and never faced a break point. He finished with 27 winners and just six unforced errors, compared to 22 and 10 for Rublev.

It completed a hard-court hat trick for the 27-year-old Medvedev. With his wins last month at Rotterdam and Doha, he became the third player to win three ATP Tour events in as many weeks since 2021 (Casper Ruud in July 2021 and Felix Auger-Aliassime in October 2022).
