Cam Martin made two free throws with 1.7 seconds left in overtime and then blocked Darrion Trammell’s last-second shot to help Boise State post a dramatic 79-77 road victory over No. 21 San Diego State in Mountain West play on Friday night.

Roddie Anderson III scored 16 points and forced overtime when he got the roll on his driving jumper with 7.4 seconds left in regulation. Tyson Degenhart added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Broncos (22-9, 13-5 MW), who moved into sole possession of second place in the conference.

Jaedon LeDee scored 21 points and Lamont Butler added 13 points for the Aztecs (22-9, 11-7), who will be the No. 5 seed in next week’s Mountain West tournament. San Diego State dropped to 14-1 at home this season.

Martin, who scored 10 points, was playing in overtime because O’Mar Stanley (10 points) fouled out late in regulation.

Martin’s basket with 3:24 left in overtime gave the Broncos a 74-72 lead. Max Rice (10 points) later made a desperation 35-foot 3-pointer to beat the shot clock and give Boise State a five-point lead with 1:58 left.

The Aztecs rallied on Micah Parrish’s basket with 1:25 left and Trammell’s tying 3-pointer with 19 seconds to go. Martin was later fouled after rebounding Anderson’s late miss and made the decisive free throws before blocking Trammell’s 30-foot attempt prior to the buzzer.

Parrish scored 12 points and Trammell added 11 for San Diego State, which shot 44.8 percent from the floor and 6 of 25 from 3-point range.

Chibuzo Agbo scored 10 points for Boise State and he buried a 3-pointer to knot the score at 70 with 52 seconds left in regulation.

Butler made two free throws with 31 seconds remaining to put the Aztecs back ahead. But Butler missed the front end of a one-and-one situation with 15 seconds to go to set up Anderson’s tying hoop.

The Broncos made 43.8 percent of their attempts and were 11-of-27 from behind the arc.

San Diego State held a 10-point lead early in the second half after an 11-0 burst with LeDee scoring three straight baskets along the way. Parrish’s layup capped the run and gave the Aztecs a 52-42 lead with 14:07 to play.

Boise State rallied and knotted the score at 65 on Agbo’s jumper in the lane with 3:05 remaining in regulation. Parrish drained a 3-pointer to put San Diego State back in front with 2:48 left.

Anderson scored nine first-half points as Boise State held a 33-31 lead at the break. LeDee scored 11 points in the half for the Aztecs.
