The Seattle Surge posted a win on Sunday and moved up to fourth place in qualifying for the Call of Duty League’s Major III as Week 2 of the competition drew to a close.

The Surge defeated the Florida Mutineers in three maps. In the day’s other two matches, OpTic Texas won with a sweep, and the London Royal Ravens got their first victory in the qualifying stage.

Major III, which includes all 12 Call of Duty League teams, will be hosted by OpTic Texas March 9-12 in Arlington, Texas. Qualifying for tournament weekend runs through March 5.

The Surge fell behind early, losing 250-188 to the Mutineers on Breenbergh Hotel Hardpoint. But Seattle turned things around with consecutive wins on Breenbergh Hotel Search & Destroy (6-2), Breenbergh Hotel Control (3-2) and Embassy Hardpoint (250-148).

OpTic Texas began their sweep of the Minnesota Rokkr with a 250-111 victory on Embassy Hardpoint, kept rolling 6-1 on El Asilo Search & Destroy and clinched with a 3-2 triumph on Al Bagra Fortress Control.

Cuyler “Huke” Garland of the U.S. posted 60 kills and countryman Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro finished with a plus-1.38 K-D for OpTic, which saw all four of its players record positive ratios. Marcus “Afro” Reid of Great Britain paced the Rokkr with 48 kills, but the team had no players with a positive ratio.

The Ravens won a back-and-forth match with the Los Angeles Guerrillas. London took the first map, Al Bagra Fortress Hardpoint, 250-172. Los Angeles came back with consecutive wins on Mercado Las Almas Search & Destroy (6-4) and Breenbergh Hotel Control (3-2).

The Ravens grabbed momentum back, however, winning 250-216 on Mercado Las Almas Hardpoint and clinching the match with a close 6-5 win on El Asilo Search & Destroy.

Matthew “Skrapz” Marshall of Great Britain had 95 kills and a plus-1.22 K-D ratio to lead London, and teammate Paul “PaulEhx” Avila of the U.S. added 90 kills.
