Celebrity Dwayne The Rock Johnson launched an ultra-premium tequila brand in early 2020. More than three years later, the brand called Teremana Tequila crossed a major milestone. The brand promoted by the celebrity has rocked the market by selling one million cases, that is about nine million liters of liquid spirit.
The Fast and Furious star has seen growth in the spirits market similar to his personal one; as his brand is now in the list that includes established brands launched by giants including Diageo.

The superstar released a written statement that read, “The launch of Teremana Tequila has been an unprecedented and historic success in North America.” It also said, “It has far exceeded all our expectations and is accelerating to an extraordinary pace towards its full potential. Taste, quality and affordability are the keys to Teremana’s success.”
The Teremena Tequila brand almost rivals the success of the superstar himself as it has gained recognition from 17 top international awards. In the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition it won a gold. So, it has succeeded in both quality and quantity, with gold as well as one million cases in sales.

In an interview with Forbes, The Rock told the outlet that he along with partner the Lopez family decided to launch the product despite the timing as people might not have wanted to try new things during the pandemic.
When asked if his huge fan base had an impact on the sales, Dwayne Johnson acknowledged his gratitude to his web fans. He also told Forbes that he had “built some trust equity with fans from all over the world.”
The outlet also wanted to know if he would cash in on the success of the brand in North America like some of his celebrity peers. Dwayne Johnson proved once again that he thinks big as he said that he was a “long gamer with no exit strategy.”
Dwayne The Rock Johnson called Teremana Tequila a “legacy brand” and considering his global web fans base, he is most likely to succeed in the mission of making the brand a global brand, later if not sooner.
