Alex Cejka fired a 7-under-par 64 to take sole possession of the top spot on the leaderboard at the Invited Celebrity Classic on Saturday in Irving, Texas.

Cejka, seeking his third win on the Champions tour, sits at 12-under 130 after 36 holes at Las Colinas Country Club.

First round co-leader Mark Hensby of Australia shot 65 and trails Cejka by one stroke alone in second place. Charlie Wi of South Korea carded a 64 to vault 19 spots up the leaderboard into solo third at 9 under.

David Branshaw (2nd round 67) and Dicky Pride are five shots off the lead in a tie for fourth place.

Cejka posted four birdies on the front and another three on the back.

“I’m playing great,” Cejka said. “It’s been a tough two challenging days. I’ve heard there’s more wind and more rain coming. It’s not going to be pleasant. Plus it’s going to be cooler. It’s going to make it a little bit tricky, but I love where I’m standing on the board.”

Hensby posted an eagle on the par-5 10th to go with five birdies and a bogey.

“I got a good break on 10,” Hensby said. “It was kind of wet and the ball skidded and went in. That kind of got things started. Played pretty solid overall today.”

First round co-leader Rob Labritz scuffled to a 71 and fell off the lead into a tie for 12th at 5 under.

The event, formerly called the ClubCorp Classic, now features a celebrity pro-am division.

Defending champion Mardy Fish is plus-73 in the modified Stableford scoring system to lead the celebrities. LPGA legend Annika Sorenstam is second at plus-70, three-time Stanley Cup champion Justin Williams sits in third with 68 points and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo sits in fourth with 67 points.
