Hany Mukhtar and Sam Surridge each had a goal and an assist as Nashville SC rolled to a 3-0 win over Moca FC on Thursday in the first leg of a CONCACAF Champions Cup opening-round series in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.

Tyler Boyd also scored for Nashville, which holds a comfortable lead heading home for the second leg of the two-match, total goal series on Wednesday.

The Nashville-Moca series winner will advance to face Inter Miami in the round of 16.

Surridge’s pass in the box led to Mukhtar’s goal in the 12th minute. Mukhtar turned provider in the 24th minute, playing in Surridge, who rounded a defender and drove home a right-footed shot from just above the penalty spot.

Boyd weaved through traffic and drove in a 12-yard shot in the 75th minute to cap the scoring.

FC Cincinnati 2, Cavalier SC 0

Goals late in each half powered FC Cincinnati to a victory in the first leg of their series at Kingston, Jamaica.

The teams will conclude the two-leg, total-goal set in Cincinnati on Wednesday.

In the fifth minute of first-half stoppage time, Bret Halsey drove to the Cavalier end line, then cut the ball back for Sergio Santos to finish from 10 yards out with his left foot.

FC Cincinnati doubled the lead in the 87th minute. Arquimides Ordonez back-heeled a pass near the top of the 18-yard box to Malik Pinto, who pounded a right-footed shot into the lower far corner.
