Team Falcons and Shopify Rebellion swept their two matches as Group Stage 2 began Friday in DreamLeague Season 22.

BetBoom Team and Xtreme Gaming won their matches in three maps.

Group Stage 2 features one round robin of the top eight teams to advance, and matches are best-of-three. The playoffs are a four-team, double-elimination bracket. The grand final will be a best-of-five.

Critical ESL Pro Tour points toward qualification for additional 2024 events are also on the line. The event concludes March 10 at Meltdown London.

The Falcons took on the Gaimin Gladiators and were playing on green when they won their first map in 36 minutes. Then they won on red, outlasting the Gladiators in 49 minutes. Oliver “skiter” Lepko of Slovakia led the Falcons with a kills/deaths/assists ratio of 12.5/2.0/9.5. Quinn “Quinn” Callahan of the U.S. topped the Gladiators at 6.5/7.5/8.5.

Shopify also won on green and then red in defeating Aurora. The first map lasted 38 minutes, and the second extended 64 minutes. Artour “Arteezy” Babaev of Canada and Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer of the Philippines carried Shopify with ratios of 9.5/0.5/10.5 and 8.5/1.0/9.5, respectively. Best for Aurora was Nuengnara “23” Teeramahanon of Thailand with 4.0/4.0/1.5.

The key to Xtreme’s success against Team Spirit was playing on green. They won the first map in 46 minutes on green, fell in 39 minutes on red, and clinched the match back on green in 45 minutes. Wang “Ame” Chunyu of the all-China lineup sparked Xtreme with a ratio of 7.3/1.3/9.3. Spirit’s Denis “Larl” Sigitov of Russia and Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk of Ukraine were neck and neck with ratios of 6.3/2.3/10.7 and 6.3/3.7/5.0.

BetBoom had to come from behind to prevail. OG claimed the first map in 36 minutes while playing on red. BetBoom then took the second map on red in 31 minutes, and clinched on green in 60 minutes. Danil “gpk” Skutin of Russia and countryman Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko shared top honors for BetBoom. The former finished at 6.7/1.7/10.0, and the latter was at 6.7/1.3/7.3.
