The United States men’s national team will face Colombia on June 8 at Landover, Md., in a friendly that will be used as a tune-up for the team’s appearance in Copa America.

The match at FedEx Field will come after the USMNT face Jamaica on March 21 at Arlington, Texas, in the CONCACAF Nations League semifinals. The winner of that match will face Panama or Mexico in the final on March 24 at Arlington, while the loser takes part in the third-place match.

“As we continue to build toward this summer’s Copa America and the 2026 FIFA World Cup, we relish the challenge of competing against the best possible opponents and Colombia checks that box,” USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter said. “They have been a standout team in World Cup Qualifying and showcase some of the world’s top talent.”

Following the friendly against Colombia, the United States will then compete in Copa America starting on June 23. The USMNT was invited into the South America championship for the second time after also participating in 2016.

Copa America will take place in the United States this year, with the USMNT playing its opening match against Bolivia at Arlington. Panama and Uruguay also are in the United States’ four-team group with the team facing Panama on June 27 at Atlanta and Uruguay on July 1 at Kansas City, Mo.

A total of 14 U.S. cities will play host to Copa America, with the semifinals set for East Rutherford, N.J., on July 9 and Charlotte, N.C., on July 10. The final will take place at Miami Gardens, Fla., on July 14.

Argentina is the defending Copa America champion, winning the trophy in 2021 at Brazil.
