Dejounte Murray scored a team-high 22 points, including a game-winning 3-pointer with two seconds left, to help lead the visiting Atlanta Hawks to a 109-108 win over the Miami Heat on Friday.

Bogdan Bogdanovic added 17 points for Atlanta, which won its third straight game and its first at Miami since March 2021. Jalen Johnson chipped in 15 points for the Hawks, while Saddiq Bey tallied 14 points.

Miami, which has lost two straight, was led by Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro, who each scored 25 points. Bam Adebayo added 21 points and Duncan Robinson finished with 14 off the bench.

With the Heat leading 105-104, Herro knocked down a contested triple to give the Heat a four-point lead with 35.5 seconds left.

Bogdanovic was fouled on the next possession and made both free throws to cut the Atlanta deficit in half.

After Herro missed a jump shot, Atlanta elected not to call timeout, instead letting Murray take the final shot and win the game.

The Heat were not able to get a shot off on the last possession.

Earlier, a layup by Herro pushed Miami’s lead to 83-74 with 4:31 left in the third quarter. But Atlanta answered with a 7-0 run, cutting their deficit to two entering the fourth quarter.

Herro’s bucket was Miami’s only field goal over the final 6 1/2 minutes of the third quarter.

In the first half, Atlanta held its largest lead, 34-24, at the 11:30 mark of the second quarter on an Onyeka Okongwu dunk.

Miami battled back to take a 54-53 lead with 31 seconds left in the half, thanks to Herro’s 3-pointer. Murray responded with a four-point play and the Hawks held a 57-56 halftime lead.

Murray’s 15 first-half points paced Atlanta, while Robinson led Miami with 14 points in the opening half, followed by Butler’s 13.

Atlanta’s Trae Young (27.2 ppg, 10.9 apg) missed Friday’s game due to an illness.

Miami and Atlanta will meet for the final time this season on April 9 in Atlanta.
